How to find Appliance Name & Appliance ID Number in STRM

No need to worry if you are not sure of the STRM Model / Product for a remotely administrated box.

You can easlly find the STRM Model / Product. The following command will identify the appliance number you are presently on:

#cat /etc/.appliance_name

Example:
[root@strm]# cat /etc/.appliance_name
3100

Below are the different device types and their equivalent STRM models:
